瀬戸内漁港でクリーンアップ活動を実施しました/Environmental cleanup at Setouchi Fishing Port of Takamatsu　

2022年６月５日（日）、曇り空の下、高松市瀬戸内漁港でクリーンアップ活動を実施しました。香川大学生12名（留学生２名を含む）及び中央市場関係者を含めて、合計20名が参加しました。
The International Office organized an environmental cleanup on 5^th June 2002 at Setouchi Fishing Port of Takamatsu City. There were 12 students (including 2 international students), and together with staff members of the Central Wholesale Market of Takamatsu City, we were about 20 people.

２つのグループに分かれて、それぞれ漁港を歩き、ゴミを拾いました。市場の方が事前に海面から漂流ゴミをすくい上げてくださっていたこともあり、予想よりも多くのゴミがありました。多かった順に①タバコ吸い殻、70個　②プラスチック袋、51個　③食品包装、40個　④手袋とマスク、33個　⑤プラスチックと発泡スチロール破片、28個　でした。
The cleanup was conducted via two groups. Under the cloudy sky, the students walked around the fishing port, picking up pieces of floating garbage fished out from the water surface. The amount of garbage exceeded our expectations. Most picked items were ①cigarette butts, 70 pieces ②grocery and other plastic bags, 51 pieces ③food wrappers, 40 pieces ④gloves and masks, 33 pieces plastic and foam pieces, 28 pieces.

本活動は、１時間程度の活動でしたが、清掃開始前には、中央市場関係者の方から市場についての説明を伺うこともでき、とても有意義な活動となりました。
The event took just under one hour. Before the cleanup, a staff member of the Central Wholesale Market explained the operations of the wholesale market. The students had a meaningful experience learning about marine garbage and how the wholesale market operates.
