Endoscopic MEMS Pressure Sensor

We aim to apply MEMS to the medical field. In particular, we study a novel MEMS sensor which can touch organs of the human body in the endoscopic field including NOTES (Natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery). At the first stage of the study, we developed an endoscopic MEMS pressure sensor mounted in a endoscopic hood. We demonstrated that the MEMS sensor brings us an accurate pressure value in vivo using dog’s stomach.
