Internship at LAIMAN Laboratory, ESIA

I took part in an internship program at LAIMAN laboratory, and mainly worked on the development of an experimental set-up for optical absorption measurements. The custom and working environments are so different in France. But it didn’t take too long to acclimatize myself to a new life in France and I had a wonderful time there. Although the internship was carried out in English, once I went shopping in town, I had to speak French at shops and restaurants and that was even harder sometimes. Annecy is such a beautiful town and I would like to go to visit again.

Internship at Alcatel Vacuum Technology

I worked for a French company called Alcatel Vacuum Technology as an intern for three months. I engaged in modeling the vacuum equipments and simulation of gas analysis using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Although it wasn’t my major, I could handle it with support from my boss and co-workers and managed to get the result in the end. I improved not only my languages skills but also developed a better understanding of different cultures through this internship.
