Akira Andatsu -undergraduate student
Internship at Alcatel Vacuum Technology
Counterpart: Savoie University , FRANCE
Period : 4 months

This internship was the third time for me. The great difference between the internship in Japan and the internship overseas is that I took charge of an official project after having finished the one-week tutorial.
I learnt the base of analytical software and fluid mechanics on a different language. Moreover, I experienced a lot of business processes through exchanging e-mails with purchasers, attending their meetings, and presenting the final reports. As a result, I was able to recognize not only knowledge and the technology but also the importance of communication skills.
This international internship became a splendid chance to experience the process of an analytical simulation in the research and development through the assigned project.
In a long-term stay in the foreign country, I was able to merge in the different culture in an office, a dormitory, and various places.
Every day was very pungent for me. However, I wish to express my gratitude for a wonderful field in which I could greatly grow up.

Internship at Prassier Laboratory, Bonn-Rhein-Sieg

I participated in an internship at Prassler laboratory in Fachhochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg for three months. I worked to develop a low-cost vision system which allows a service robot to discover obstacles and hazardous areas. It’s not my major, so I had to learn in English by myself. That was so hard for me, but it was the opportunity to prove and improve my English skills. On the other hand, I enjoyed the German life and trip which I can’t experience in Japan. I got not only those experiences but also friends in Germany. I expect you can have valuable and wonderful experience if you participate the international internship. | |
